I have been on Jen's email subscription list for a while now and always love the new tips or trips she write about. I am married and never thought of going anywhere without my husband, but Jen's new book lets me see that I have no reason to wait for him to have time off of work, or that I can easily just go alone to a place he has no desire to go to. It's a short read of tips and stories, so it gives you better ideas of how to safely and sanely travel alone, because I'm sure women know they CAN travel alone, but they just are too nervous to do it. I loved this book and look forward to putting some of it to use on a solo trip.
I loved this edition of "The solo Female Travel Book"! This was a quick read. I did not want to put it down. I found myself saying Bold and Brave and can I do that? loved the adventures, the anecdotes of the stories in your journeys and the sincerity of all of your adventures as a woman. You inspired me to purchase my very first passport and I just got it in the mail yesterday. Now to plan my adventures. Thank you for the amazing journey you are embarking with us all in mind.
I've been following Jen for some time now on Instagram and her past two books were full of useful information and tips that I have taken advantage of and this book did just that as well! It's nice to hear how travelling alone for women doesn't have to be scary and can easily be done. I definitely will be trying to get a pass to Havasupai in the future! Not only does it have solo travel tips but also travelling in general.
This short and enjoyable read is what anyone who wants to travel needs. Your concerns about traveling..she covers them and provides the answers to alleviate those fears. Reasons to not travel? She gives you a soft kick in the butt to get up and get going. As someone who wants to travel and move abroad, this book gives me the information and encouragement to make that happen!
Jen's fun and inspiring third book covers her tips and tricks for traveling the world alone. While the idea of traveling alone can seem scary, Jen shares her stories, adventures, and advice showing everyone traveling alone is not only possible but exhilarating. I can't wait to see what Jen is going to do next. This is one travel book I would definitely read again.
A quick read, Jen manages to capture both the highs (and lows) of traveling solo. Her opening stories are relatable and funny and the book is full of great tips for all types of travelers. As a solo female traveler who still gets nervous, it was wonderful to find a book that had similar experiences as well as advice for me moving forward.
This is a great resource for a female traveler or for that matter any solo traveler. It is chock full of useful tips, things to not miss, and amusing personal stories that almost anyone can relate to especially if you travel. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and will keep it as a reference for when I travel.
What an unbelievable resource, full of great stories and tips. I would highly recommend this book to any women travellers and even men would get a kick out of it too. Jen has written a truly amazing book!
