I have completely enjoyed the Love Comes Softly series since I first read it several years ago.Sadly, I am returning this particular 4-in-1 book because it's too large and heavy for me to hold comfortably. I should've paid less attention to the low price and more attention to the size and weight listed in the description.
I saw this movie on TV and fell in love with the story. I borrowed the book from the public library. I LOVE Janette Oke's writing style, so had to purchase it. Yes, the book is thick and heavy, because it contains 4 books in this edition. Can't wait to finish reading all 4 stories.
This series made me a fan of Oke. I didn't realize that she had series' that were turned into movies. When I did, I purchased the movies too. But the books are way better than the movies. They are well written and she really develops the characters.
I love Janette's stories. This collection, because it is so big and heavy, should be read propped up or with "the bookseat"(they have this on Amazon). Don't let the size of it stop you from reading it. :)
This is a beautifully written series. Puts me in the mind of Little House on the Prairie, but with a deeply spiritual edge. I wish I had read these books to my children. I am loving them.
Enjoy all of Janet Oke books. Especially her Love Comes Softly series. Good Christian, romance, family saga.
Arrived on time. Was a bit surprised that all four books were printed in one very large book. But really no problem. Was just happy to get them.
