This guide is likely useful for travelers who have never been to the country and/or prefer to stick to the larger and well-known tourist areas. I just spent two weeks all over the country and didn't find it very useful - most towns/cities I visited were not in the guide, those that were had entries focused mainly on places to sleep/eat with very little cultural or historical information.
This is an older version published over 3 years ago in 2015. My fault for not checking the description carefully. But I didn’t think Amazon would recommend and sell an older version. The travel information is very general as it covers the entire country. The survival guide at the end of book is quite helpful.
Good for general information but weak on specifics (hotels/bars/restaurants).
This was the best one I found, a more honest and well rounded approach to travel
I am planning a trip to Geneva so I needed a book that had some information on this city. I love the Lonely Planet travel guides!
Covers everything in both the big cities and small towns across the whole country. Recommended restaurants and attractions were described accurately and worth your time.
Great Book and will be helpful when I'm in Switzerland in May
Decent. Not super in-depth since it covers the entire country (which I understood when buying), but has enough info in every region to get you started. The best of the guide book types available. Info is easy to understand and spot on the go (unlike some of those more novel-like guides that are a pain to actually use).
